Skin Woes..wu wu wu~

Sobs....

As I've mentioned a few days ago, my skin got worse after the trip to Ipoh and Taiping.
And since it didn't get better, I decided to pay a visit to the skin specialist.

I've been visiting the same skin specialist since 2006, when I first decided to seek treatment for my pimple outbreak. My skin got better, but at times it gets worse again *sigh*

Anyways, I always disliked going to the skin specialist because:

1. It's quite expensive.

2. It's quite pricey. RM 158 leh~ and I only received 5 items, and 20tablets of antibiotics (I don't even know why he gave me antibiotics....LOL...I shall go google the drug later ;p)
3. I feel that it's not worth it. I could have purchased more clothes with that money *hehe*

In short, I am a patient with poor compliance. *LOL*
But one thing for sure, the cream - differin (adapalene) really works. *hehe*
But whenever I finish that tube, I will be too stubborn to head to the clinic to get more of it.

Anyways, I finally got to see carrots. He's been busy studying for his coming exams. Thus, we decided to go makan Bah Kut Teh!!!! Whee~~~

Eat Eat Eat....*note: my fringe is still short...MEH~~*

Carrots enjoying his Bah Kut Teh~~
Just in case you guys think that the piece of chicken drumstick, its NOT~
It's actually part of a pig's bone. ROFL.

I can still remember the time when my dad brought some relatives of mine, who were from HongKong to eat bah kut teh. They were soo happy.

Why?

Because they kept taking pictures with that big pig's bone,
because they kept saying it's so cheap, and worth-eating.

But that was 10 years ago, wayyyy back when I was still in primary school.
Now bah kut teh person in the same shop costs RM9..
RM9per person, not inclusive of rice.

And talking about rice, the IMU cafe is charging RM1 +++ for rice. *sigh*

So that make eating bah kut teh around RM12 per person. *double sigh*

Baby carrots' birthday~

Jeng jeng jeng~

It was baby carrot's birthday yesterday!!
Naturally, Peas went off to celebrate his birthday =)

We headed to Itallianes @ The Gardens to have our dinner.

I was both our first time dining at Itallianes so we didn't know what to order.
We browsed through the menu, and saw that each dish was an average of rm25.
Then we saw that Itallianes was having an offer for a set for 4 persons for only rm89.90.

*two light bulbs lighted up*

And thus, we decided to go for the 4 persons set meal!

The waiter was obviously shocked.

waiter: Are you sure you want to order this set?

us: yes

waiter: it's a set for four persons.

us: yes, why is a lot?

waiter: well, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really really hungry.

us: *ponders* yes

waiter: but the portion, for example the shrimp fettucini is large enough for 2 to 3 persons, are you sure you can finish it?

us: we'll try *smiles nicely*

*the waiter gave up persuading us not to order*

and so we started ordering our dishes.

well, of course before our set meal arrived, we were served some bread as starters.
first to come was our appetizer>>> mussels!!!
Up next came our first main course dish, which consisted of three grilled chicken-breast meat which is much thicker than the average chicken breast! The sauce was simply delicious!!!
We sapu-ed the sauce before letting the waiter take the plate away ;p
Then came the pizza. It was large! Like domino's large pizza!!!
Then, the waiter took the opportunity to ask,
"so, are you full? is your stomach filled up to here *points halfway through the "stomach"*
or here *points to a higher position*?"

carrots: we jz got started.

LOL. The waiter then gave a shocked look and said, "okay" while squinting his eyebrows in disbelief. ROFL.

Then, before we finished our pizza, the shrimp fettuccine arrived. (oppps, i spelled fettuccine wrongly ;p ) and yes. I ordered the dish on purpose just to see how large the portion was. ROFL.
Once we finished the shrimp fettuccine, both carrots and I gave up on the pizza.
We only managed to eat 2/3 of the pizza, and decided to ta pao the remaining pizza.
(which I heated up and ate for breakfast and tea today..LOL)

Finally was our dessert! I forgot what's it called, but it was humongous! see, it's as big as my face!!!

LOL...jz jk...my face is really big, so the cake was smaller...but hey! it's still a really large slice of ice-cream cake!!!

After the meal, both carrots and I felt like our stomach was about to burst; at least carrots did. While I felt like I was pregnant, with food. LOL...
I was walking like some obese fella, and i felt so round. ROFL..
After walking a few steps (it was REALLY a few steps only, kind of like 10-15 steps), we stopped and stood in front of the touch-screen directory board.

It was then when Peas realised how much she ate, and that she couldn't even laugh, as the laughing added pressure to the stomach and made her ache.
Yup..I was THAT full. I can't even laugh. *sweats*

Anyways, after walking and resting, walking and resting, we then caught the midnight movie in Midvalley.

We watched the Thai horror movie>>>>>Body #19
Both carrots and I loved the movie!!!
It's about Chon, a student, who had nightmares about a dead woman.
He then sees a psychiatrist who's husband is somehow linked to the dead woman.
The story continues to build up, with two deaths and several gory scenes of the ghost.

I liked the visuals especially the part where the ghost jumps towards Chon, and her hair goes flying around artistically!! I'm serious!! The ghost's hair was just superb. LOL~

Although the movie was 2 hours long, I didn't find it draggy.
In fact, it was good from the start till the end.
There's a twist towards the end, which made the movie really really good.
And, the movie's soundtrack is good!!!

To end this post, here's a pic of carrots and his presents.

and a picture of carrots and peas (in hoodies) ^^ hehe~

more moolah spent~

I am kinda stressed right now.

I feel like I have insufficient time to study for my biopharmacy test next monday.
And the fact that I've been going out everyday since Thursday doesn't make matters better. *sweats*

Mana saya pergi?

Peas went karaoke-ing @ green box, bkt tinggi both today, and on saturday *sweats*
Then on Sunday night, I met up with an incovarian friend of mine who was posted to Klang's general hospital. So I went for a yum cha session with him.

Then when I came back to vista, I was welcomed by the fact that more "social" outings were scheduled throughout the week.

Renly's bf is back, along with the other friends who jz got back frm germany. Their spending time with us, is a good thing, but it means that Peas have less time to study.

I guess I am being kiasu. Yup. I am ;p

Anyways, after going for karaoke session with an ex-colleague of mine(and her friends), Carrots sent me back, and we "pit-stopped" at Pyramid for some Wendy's~ mana tau...
The chicken burger sucked big time.
The chicken was just bad. B-A-D~~
So never, NEVER order the chicken burgers~

And the potato with sour cream...err...let's just say it wasn't for my taste.
However, it's beefburger is okay. But i still like McDonalds~ hehe^^

other than the fact that i do not have much time to study, I felt very guilty for spending my moolah~ *wails* I wanted to buy a new foundation, but BUT, i felt so bad for spending money *sobs*

See, I bought a red swimsuit (coz my current one used for proper swimming i.e not the bikini, is getting loose..meh...)

I also got a new shampoo, coz it was cheap.

And I also got a black tube top because it was only rm7.

It doesn't sound like a lot of money, but added with the amount i used last week..it felt like I was wasting my money. *sighes*

anyways, I had wanted to talk about carrots and his obsession with You-tube-ing for videos, reading the "kopitiam" gossip-forum on lowyat, and also his occasional dropping-by at other blogger's blog like xiaxue, and how he does not understand why she has fans. (which is actually a long long story which I refuse to talk about, because right now I am doing free publicity for xiaxue by mentioning her name in my blog *sweats*)

Thus, I shall sum carrots's obsession with the internet, and it's wonders with this picture.

Carrots: I feel incomplete without my laptop (connected to the internet) on. (I gotta have it-quoted from sarah jessica parker in her advertisement of her own perfume. *creepy betul*)

p.s: after writing this post, i feel relieved of my stress, so I shall now go play the big brain game so that my brain will grow, and hopefully a bigger brain will mean i need not study for my biopharm paper. LOL ;p

Emo day be gone~~~

LOL. It sounds like some tag line from some lame movie.

Anyways, happy peas is back in action, and hopefully she'll be here to stay.

I missed being happy. Seriously, I do miss being happy.

I was gloomy in class, and I didn't like that one bit.

Then, I went Midvalley to meet up with Carrots.

Unfortunately, once we reached Carl's Junior to have our lunch, I got upset again. Although the chicken salad I ordered looked nice, and was a big portion..
The music was loud, and I had to repeat what I say. Thus, I got pissed off. Meh. Carrots wrote this in the suggestion form on the table, but we didn't put it into the suggestion box in the end. LOL...

Anyways, after awhile, Peas sorta figured out she shouldn't be that emo, as it was ruining the whole atmosphere. Here's a picture of Peas, eating her salad with her specs , as her eyes were too swollen to insert her contact lens. LOL~

Plus, luckily the start of the movie which we watched >>>> Death Race
was quite err..entertaining, with it's large cars and explosions and guns, Peas felt happy. Furthermore, it has been a long time since Peas watched a movie in the cinema with Carrots. So, Peas felt happier.

Chinese singing competition finals~

Whee^^

Peas was delighted as Carrots came to support me^^
Not only that, my housemates TOO bought me flowers^^

Peas was a happy girl that day.

AND, the best part is, my group actually won the first place for the composing category!!
Despite the fact that I:

a) forgot my lyrics

b) went off key a LOT of times

c) sang like a complete emotionless being

LOL^^ yup, I was expecting the other composer to win, but when they announced that we won. I was dumbfounded. ROFL~

Yup, winning was good, but I felt like I didn't deserve it.

And I just realized, after reading chinyeong's comments, that I have joined all THREE categories of the IMU Chinese Competition.
1) Solo
2) Group (with Pohyee last year)
3) Composing

Hehe..it was indeed a blessing for me.

Me, Jian Ming (the composer) and Christine (the lyricist) on stage explaining the lyrics of the song. Both Jian Ming and I are "bananas" so we didn't dare to explain. hehe^^

Peas, acting "emo" while singing..

US, again, delighted that we actually made it^^

the people I love^^

carrots wincing because peas is giving her "camera" smile..(apparently its the fake smile I give every time I pose for a picture) ;p

and the lovely flowers I received^^

THANK YOU to Carrots, Chin Yeong, Renly, Poh Yee, Devi, Jian Ming, Christine, and also "Yahoo" who introduced me to Jian Ming and Christine and got me into the composing category.

Bagan Lalang~

Whee~ Peas has been extremely unproductive during the weekend...
After chatting up with Ning, who told me that the results over here in IMU doesn't really play an important role in determining whether we get a merit or a distinction when we're in Glasgow, Peas decided to chill and let nature take it's course in my social marketing essay. Hehe^^ (york, social marketing isn't about promoting a girl la, hehe...but if you're interested..ngek ngek ngek..let me know!! hehe..)

Anyways, back to the topic>>> Bagan Lalang~
It's actually a beach situated in Sepang. For those who know about Sepang Gold Coast, the beach is just right next to it.
Wait...what's Sepang Gold Coast you say?
well to me, sepang gold coast is just another malaysian multi-billion project where they wanna build chalets in a the shape of a palm tree. Palm tree? isn't that exactly what Dubai has? Yup, darn right it is! This is the artist illustration of what it will be, and honestly it doesn't look like it's going to be completed anytime soon. Although I have no doubts that it will look lovely once it's completed, the question remains is whether there will be buyers..hmm...highly doubtful, ain't it? And why would they wanna make it to the shape of a palm tree?? coz malaysia is rich in palm trees? or maybe they like the Dubai's palm tree????

Nevertheless, back to Bagan Lalang Beach. It's actually quite popular. At least I can find it on WikipediaTravel! And also several online galleries, this is one of it.

So why did Peas go there? Peas was lazy doing her essay, and Carrots wanted to check out the beach for a camp which he plans to organize for his batch of genetics students..Hehe^^ So off we went~~

We took the coastal road there, and passed by many many kampungs and finally reached there after a 100mins plus ride. LOL~ Imagine that, I forgot to take pictures on the way *sigh*

But I'll compensate with pictures taken at the beach^^

this is taken by me (which explains why the picture is senget-ted..) and on the right hand side of the picture is the still-constructing sepang gold coast...

A picture of some of the families having a relaxing day at the beach..yes, the beach doesn't look too nice right? Of course it's nothing compared to the lovely beaches in Redang, but it's WAY better than the Morib beach. Hehe...then again, it's been ages since I went to Morib, maybe MPK did a little "spring cleaning" for the beach..maybe....just maybe....

out on the sea, was this AWAS sign..and lots of poles. It reminded me of what I used to learn in Pendidikan Seni. Those lines where it converges and reaches a disappearing point, or something like that, this picture, represents that really well. hehe...

okay, finally a nice decent picture of the beach!! The sky was perfect blue and the clouds were just lovely!!!

WARNING, the following pictures may be disturbing...too much of Peas and Carrots do make a bad combination for some non-vege lovers. LOL~~~ ;p

carrots didn't look like he had any problem jumping up high in the sky..so Peas thought she could do it as well....BUT

I started off with a constipation-like pose...and.....

I wanted to say, ended with a bang...BUT....well, Peas found out today that I can't jump as high as I thought I could..*sigh*

well, along the beach, there were several sections where you can see this...

a close up will show you THIS~~

and the tiny little crabs who made them~~

thank you Carrots for bringing me there today~ Peas enjoyed herself!! Muacks~~

p.s- Ning..just to show you the amount of IMU shirts i have collected so far, after my 3 semesters in IMU.....10 shirts!!!

and there's one more to come for the IMU cup!!! Guess which one was designed by me..keke^^

Pos Laju...People...and PMS

THURS, had to be one of the saddest day of my life. (At least that was what I thought when THE incident happened to me..LOL)

To start off, as I am in-charge of printing t-shirts for the upcoming Buddhist Camp which IMU Buddhist Society is organising, I had contacted a printing company, and asked him to send me two samples of his shirt. But unfortunately, he was "too-busy" to leave the office as apparently without him there'll be no one to print the shirts (but I'm thinking it's the lack of staff to reduce costs) so he was unable to send me the shirts personally and had to send it to me using PosLaju.

Well, unfortunately, I had my responsibilities as a student to go for lectures and workshops, so when the package arrived, no one was at home to collect it. And there was the standard note to inform me that my package can be collected at the Pos Laju center at Cheras.
Now, the camp is only a mere 1 week away, and those shirts are just samples. AND to make matters worse, it's almost the end of the week and you knows how long the man-power-lacking fella needs to print all my shirts. Although I'm only printing 60 shirts, I was still worried that the guy may not be able to make it on time.

Thus, I panicked, got really cheesed-off and got so mad, that the internet connection went nutts when I wanted to Google to find where in the world the collection center is. Finally, after searching for several minutes, I guessed where the place is, as there was no map to show the direct location of the office, and left Vista.

I took the LRT all the way, alone, to Pandan Jaya. And from there, I walked for a good 20minutes or more (as I was way to pissed off to even look at the time), asked directions from several people, and arrived at the first post office, which was unfortunately the WRONG one. (well, apparently Post Malaysia and Pos Laju have been separated, so they have different operating offices now.) I saw this sign, but it still took me some time...I walked some more, and arrived at some secluded place where I finally found Jalan 12/91A.
Finally, I found Pos Laju Cheras.

It was a new center which was recently opened on 16th June 2008, which then explained why almost everyone I asked had no idea where the hell it was, untill I went to the WRONG post office. *sigh*

And the BEST thing was, I didn't get my package.

Yes. You read right.

I DID NOT get my darn package.

The guy who initially checked my package said,
"Oh...ini package hari ini ke?"

Me: Ya

Guy: Sorry la miss, package hari ini baru boleh collect esok. Belum sampai la.

Me: Ok.

Then I went out of the building, and felt all sad and miserable and lost, and so I cried. MEH~
Luckily carrots called, consoled me a bit, but unfortunately I was still half crying, and I guess I must have looked like hell when I went in again. This time the lady was the one who layan-ed me.

I told her to check again, as I saw several postman coming back to the center. She checked and said it's not back. Then continued about how many postMEN they have coming from some 50 or 60 centers and they she doesn't know when the postMEN will come back, and said

"Kalau awak nak tunggu awak boleh tunggu tapi saya tak tau pukul berapa mereka balik, mungkin pukul 7 ke 7.30. Tapi office kita tutup pukul 8. "

"Biasanya, package yang hantar hari ini baru boleh collect pada hari esok."

Well, it was true. I mean like it would be a miracle for the postman to deliver back today's parcel directly to the main office a.s.a.p. And I guess I was indeed too panicky.

BUT BUT BUT~ the postman was supposed to stamp in RED ink that I was to collect the package the next day, right?
In the office, they have a sample of what a standard notice should be. So I asked her,

"Jadi mengapa postman itu tidak chop statement tu kat notice saya?"

and she had the guts to say,
"munking mereka terlupa."

I was soo darn pissed off, and asked a kertas complain from her.
and she gave me a notepad. wtf.

I had insisted on waiting there the whole day till the center closed, if not for carrots, who told me that my safety back home was more worth it than waiting till 8pm. haha..

Well, when I went back home, Carrots helped me find a proper map of the place, and guess what? I actually walked a long distance..see the lines in red?
that's where I walked!!! From Pandan Jaya to PosLaju Cheras! And that's only one way! I walked myself back to the train station too!!!!
Anyways, yesterday (which is a Friday) I went with Carrots to collect the shirts from the PosLaju center, but this time, on car. Luckily I got the shirt, and the quality was okay.

Btw, something interesting happened when I was there. And it had to do with my piece of notice paper, again. *sigh* Apparently the postman had gotten the number of my parcel wrongly. wtf!!!!

The guy who was in-charge told his colleague he didn't know how the read the writting and couldn't manage to read the number of my item. Thankfully, his colleague went into the room and checked, and managed to find it! If not, I would have burst into flames. rofl.

Back to Thursday night, I had a gathering with some Incovarians who came to visit us girls from IMU. Haha...we went to dine @ Simply White, a cafe situated in Kuchai Lama. Will upload the pictures when I get them. hehe...

And PMS, PMS is due the fact that my period has finally arrived again!!! lalala...
So I am blaming my hormone imbalance, or the excess of it for my angry temper for the past few days. My housemates were scared, esp chin yeong. keke..sorry~~~
