Poor Laptop

My laptop is officially dead.

Dead because it got infected by a visiting virus which was carried by my unsuspecting thumbdrive. The thumbdrive had traveled to two computers in IMU.
1. In the SRC room.
2. In the IT department.

Reason of travel: To print out stuff for the IMU Ball.

Once i plugged it in, the whole laptop started lag like hell. Next, my anti-virus program keeps popping up an alert which tells me:

"Suspicious file detected in WINDOW/system32/.......... Action to be taken: Ignore or Delete"

Obviously I deleted the file. BUT another alert popped up, telling me to restart the laptop to let it scan the system files.

That whole cycle of scanning and restarting repeat itself since yesterday afternoon till today. Thus, I decided to shut down the laptop and let my dad fix it when I get back home this weekend.

Till then, I shall be hogging Pohyee's laptop to use. ;p

Holidays~

Finally~ the holidays are here~~ whee^^ so happy~

Directly after my exams, I rushed back and packed all my stuff, left Vista around 12.30pm,
and took the train (both lrt and ktm) all the way back to Klang. Guess what time I arrived?
3pm!

the ride back from Bukit Jalil to Klang took me 2.5hours????? can you believe it???
This is all thanks to KTM. I have complained in my blog several time regarding the poor services they provide (I think I really should write to the papers to complain about it...it's about time, especially since it seems to be a hot topic in TheStar's metro section lately~ LOL~

And something extremely embarrassing happened on the ride back. I cried.
Why? I myself am not sure of what spurred my emotional outbreak, but I did. Meh..and I blame it on PMS again. (PMS stands for Pre/Present/Post Menstrual syndrome..thus making it applicable ANY time of the month!!! LOL~~)

Anyways, I was actually rushing back to Klang so that I can drive my mum and I all the way to LCCT to pick up my dad and my brothers who went for a trip in Thailand. Their arrival time was 2.45pm so I had intended to reach Klang around 2pm, and make it to the airport just on time.
However, due to my slow packing speed, and also the delay of the KTM, I couldn't.

Thus, I was left there feeling all miserable about myself, for not making it on time, worrying about how to make it on time, and when I told my mum that I wasn't able to make it on time, she had initially ask me to wait in KL central till she reaches home after going to LCCT. Maybe that was why I felt all miserable, and then I started crying, and all sorts of unwholesome thoughts came running into mind. Yup, a sudden whirl of sadness just took over.

Luckily my mum later on called to tell me that she'll wait for me, and thus I felt a little better. (Yes, I know I sound like a child, and it occurs to me now, that I am a child whenever I am with my parents. Meh. It's been some time since I cried. Suddenly I remember what one of my primary school teacher used to tell us when he would "rotan" us.
"Crying is good for the eyes. It cleanses it and thus you'll be able to see clearer."

LOL. Now that I think of it, I think crying does indeed does good for the eyes (except the part were your eyes get all swollen after crying). Haha...

Back to story, THE BLOODY KTM......
I feel tired talking about KTM already, everyone knows how BAD they are. Action speaks louder than words, and I think that KTM is the BEST living example of it. ROFL. Kononnya, cara yang paling cepat dan selesa untuk sampai ke destinasi anda.

Yeah~ Problems Solved!

I finally got my laptop fixed!

Both problems; virus & audio has been settled!!

How did I do it?

Problem 1 -Virus
Solution : Reboot the entire windows.

Yea...I had to deleted the entire windows and reboot the reformat the entire system. Well, of course my brother helped me out with this. My bros are such sweet creatures^^

Problem 2 - No Audio
Solution : Re-installing drivers and utilities after reformatting the system

Haha^^ I guess every dark cloud has a silver lining. Bcoz right after I reformat the whole windows, I had to re-install all the drivers for my laptop. And this time I did it without the help of my brother.
At first I thought the audio driver wouldn't load properly like the first time, BUT to my amazement, it did!!

I can't express my excitement when I heard the sound of a pop-up or the sound of windows shutting down! Lol..

So right now, my laptop is all good!
This time around, I'm extra careful as not do download anything from the net. All the programs that I need were all taken from my desktop at home and transfered to my laptop.

Now, the only thing my laptop lacks are games!!
GAMES!
But then again, games aren't really my thing. Unless its some RPG game like Final Fantasy..

Virus Alert!

Sheesh..it has only been a few days and my laptop is already infected. Guess I shouldn't have used my laptop to download stuff.
The next time i'll leave the downloading to my bros with our trustworthy desktop.

Although I have and antivirus running, I still got infected!!

Why?? Why oh why?

AND to make matters worse,
I wasnt able to delete the virus!
It has been running around my system since yesterday night, right after I had downloaded Rain's songs from some website -_-''

So my dad said the only thing to do is to reformat the whole system. Easily said,
BUT I don't even know how to reboot the system!!!
Let's pray my laptop will be fine.

Anyways, I broke up with the new guy 2 days ago.
It was the 2nd time I tried to break up with him and thankfully, this time it was successful.

Although I do like him, but due to my parents disagreement and 'emotional blackmail'
(they asked me to choose between them or the new guy, or something like that)
So, the obvious step I could take was to break up with the new guy.
But I must admit that I miss his calls, especially the long late night calls. Yet, it is wiser to break off before the feelings got any stronger.

After all, like my friend told me, parents will always be the one who loves you the most, so we should do our best not to cause them hurt and disappointment.

And now after I've broke up with him, I really got the time to think about what has been going on in my relationships.

Its hard to admit this, but I guess I'm really immature and selfish when it comes to relationships, I just wanna have fun and enjoy the moment(which is eerily similar to the love profile in the previous post)

Now, I think that what I have felt and done in the past few weeks after new year was a total mess.
My feelings towards the new guy was infatuation, not love.

Due to the infatuation that I felt, I hardened myself against feeling any emotions to my ex-boyfriend who is overseas, and caused him so much misery.
I am indeed the worst person in the world.

I still remember when I had my first boyfriend, I was so excited and told my friend about it. She congratulated and gave me an advice which goes,

LoVe iS NoT a GaMe

Back then, I thought I was fully aware of the meaning behind it. But now I realised that all this while I had played love like a game.
All this while my thoughts regarding relationships were,

If the relationship doesnt last, its ok.
But if it can continue, I would definately want it to make it last.

I guess that's a wrong thought to have in relationships. If a relationship isnt started to last, there's no point in starting it in the very first place, right?

Rotten luck

Right now, I am an extremely angry woman. I've got nothing but complaints and curses in my mind.

My streak of not-so-good luck began yesterday when I was on my way down to KL central on the ktm. I've been taking the ktm for maybe a hundred over times and yet it was the very first time I had befallen such horrendous luck.

Now, being alone on the train is a sad thing, but with the company of a book it's still bearable. And that was exactly what I did; I read a motivational book by Stephen Covey. As I was quietly reading, a bunch of college students got in at the Subang Jaya station. I presume that they are from Taylors college bcoz they were making loads of ruckus.

Being a good mannered girl*ahem* I seldom eavesdrop ppls' conversation. BUT, when the conversation is interesting, I can't help but to listen. The bunch of students are actually 3 girls n 1 guy, whose name is Max. *yea..I know his name without even opening my mouth*

Max is this guy who jz can't close his mouth, when his friends phone rang to the tune of Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway, he started singing the song -_-''

As if that isn't enough to distract me, his other friend said this,
'Hey Max, why u so 'ham sap'? Dont touch ....'s ass! You should never touch a girls' ass.'

Well, enough said. I think both u and I get the picture.

Anyways, at the very next station after Max boarded the train, the train stopped moving. It was stationary for alomst 10-15 mins without any air-condition. The only source of air we can get is the occasional hissing of the train's engine. And every single time the hissing comes, the girls would tease Max by saying,
'Max, I knew u farted! No wonder it stinks in here!'

Err...even Stephen Covey's advice on patience is useless to me. I was literally a sweating girl as I kept the book in my bag as everyone in the cabin moved all the way to the front of the train to free ourselves from the friggin' train.

When I reached the front I asked the driver, 'Rosak ke?'

'ya'

Well, that explains all. Our msian ktm is obsolete! I mean like, shouldnt the train have a back-up generator to at least open the side doors when the train breaksdown?

There isnt even an announcement inside the train! We were all sitting like idiots inside a metal box under the hot sun!

The announcement that came next was from the station itself, and it asked everyone heading to KL to move on to the opposite platform to catch the next train! Imagine, everyone inside the train filling up the entire platform! There the amount of ppl in a single train waiting...it was packed!

AS if that isnt bad enough, the next train which came was already 75% occupied!

Yet, the instinct to board the very next train kicked in, and everyone was soon squeezing n pushing. Inside the train, ppl were stacked up next to each other like tinned sardines -_-''

In KL central, I met another problem regarding the Msian public transportation again! This time its the Putra LRT. Since the queue are usually long, I prepared the exact amount of rm1.60 and used the manual ticketing machine. Guess what?

Out of the 6 high-tech looking machines available, only ONE was functioning! The one I used kept vomitting out the coins I slotted in! Pissed off, I had to queue up to get a ticket and the pace was ridiculously slow! There were two ppl inside the counter but only the girl was giving out tickets while the guy was 'busy' counting money!

I was baffled at his stupidity! Can't he see the queue? Cant he see that his colleague is tired? Didn't he even notice that the machines weren't functioning?

Oh well, I guess not. After all he is SO busy counting money and is too friggin' blind to notice anything!

THAT was yesterday, and todays' problem is regarding the telco services!

Being a loyal customer of Hotlink, I expect the services to be better. Today, all my expectations were dashed. (Yup, I am loyal. Everyone's changing to Digi yet i'm still with Hotlink and I always top up my credit on time and lately I've been using mroe than rm60 a month! Which has never happened to me in the past)

Every 15mins before I reach the ktm station nearest to my house, I would call my brothers or parents to pick me up. Yet today, the network was down!

Imagine my horror! I tried calling over n over again! I even took out the sim card to check! BUT nothing worked.

So, I had to walk to the nearest telephone booth to make the call. It was only a few metres away, but I ended up walking more than 400metres, under the blazing hot noon sun, to finally get a phone that is functioning!

I passed mayb 3-4 booths yet ALL of them were dilapitated! Blame it on vandelism, but I think the government should be doing better! Shouldn't they at least come around n replace the spoilt ones every month?

Anyways, after I called my brother from the public phone, I asked him to pick me up from the stall which I decided to have my lunch while waiting for them to come and also for me to cool down after the burning hot long walk.

I called him at 12.15pm and guess what time he arrived?

Wait! He didnt even arrive!!

After around 40 mins of waiting(and also finishing my lunch) I called him again around 1pm and he said he'll come soon. So I went back to the same stall after paying for my meal and had another drink. After waiting for another 30mins or so, he still isnt around!

I was extremely pissed off! The restaurant is less than 15mns from my house yet I had to wait for him for more than an hour!

So, I decided to walk back home, under the hot sun again!

After walking around 200metres or so, he somehow spotted me and picked me up at 1.40pm. Amazing...I was this close to killing him with my bare hands! And when I asked him why did he take so long, he casually said he went back sleeping after my receiving my 1st call!

What the f***! I'm suffering alone while he sleeps like a pig!!

Yup, I am a naturally angry woman; When the conditions around me turn sour, I won't turn sour...I would have already rotted instead!! My patience thins, and my angry grows especially when I'm hungry and when the sun shines TOO bright.
