What Distance I’d Go for My Other Half

Funny thing is, I haven't found my other half; at least not yet.

Aren't I worried about not finding someone? I am worried, very MUCH worried infact that I may not find my other half anytime soon :S

But my friends around me tell me otherwise, they say,

"Don't worry, everyone has someone. And if you believe it, your knight in shining armour is out there somewhere looking for you. And when he comes, tell him

"What too you so long? I've been waiting for you for the longest time"

Yes, as much as I love to believe that I would too have my own love story, a part of me doubts that. So to say, with the tiny-wheeny bit of doubt, I think I just broken the law of attraction.

Nevertheless, I do want to believe that I will find my other half soon :) *fingers-crossed*
Maybe I will meet a really good-looking doctor once I start working in the hospital :P
Or maybe I will get to meet a really nice guy from erm...the hospital???

And when I do find him, I will try NOT to make the same mistakes which I made in my previous relationship. And this time around, I will definitely go the extra mile to make my relationship work :)

I will try to be the understanding gf that I wasn't in the past.
I will try to be the one who makes him smile.

There's too many I will tryS in my mind right now, but I believe when I meet the right one, everything will fall into place even without me trying :)

And when I do find him, maybe I could revisit Paris with him :)

That's me, with short hair, under the Eiffel Tower last year Sept 2009.

But if I somehow can't find my other half, you'll probably see me beside a lake feeding breadcrumbs to swans or birds..LOL~~

But i think the swans don't like me that much. They are scratching their backs instead = =

Baby steps to start a journey of a million miles :)

Helloooooooooo people!!!

I'm finally back in Malaysia! In fact I've been back for 3 weeks now. After a hectic two weeks upon returning home (busy "lapor diri-ing" to JPA, SPA, KKM and the Pharmacy Board

+ going for Bon Odori

+ a drive down to Port Dickson for Ainul's Wedding

+ attending the American Boys Chorus show in KL (gawd look at my dark circles and eye bag = =)

+ meeting you with friends at MidValley

+ unpacking and tidying the room), I finally got more rest this week around. And now as I am entering the 4th week of returning to Malaysia, still "job-less" at the moment, I find myself with much free time :P

So I changed the whole outloook of my bloggie! (I forgot to take a pic of how my blog looks before this *sad* I think I've changed the skin of my blog a couple of times since I started blogging, but I never saved any pictures of it before. Meh. I should have kept a collection of the headers I designed as memories *sigh*)

Anyways, I have also decided not to call myself Peas anymore.

In case you didn't know, I'm about to start a loooooong story on how the name Peas came around and it will bore you, or maybe I might even bore myself. lol.

But the name all started almost 2 years ago when I just started to date my ex-bf. We used to call ourselves Peas and Carrots (after hearing Forrest Gump say something about peas and carrots being together).

When I was still with him back in Malaysia, I renamed my blog :
Peas on the run. (woots, the only header that I saved on my lappie^^)

Then right before I left for my final year in Scotland, I renamed my blog (again) as
Peas in Scotland.

Yes, you read right, ex-bf i.e past tense. Sad as it is, I've broken up with him for more than a year now, and I'm still single, while he moved on within 6 months of the break-up. But I still used the name Peas because I found it cute, but now I realize that it's not wise to use a nickname given by an ex-bf. Meh. Maybe that's why I'm still single. lol.

So, that's my supposedly long sad love story of how the name started and ended. So goodbye Peas. Sayonara and farewell~

As my life as a student ends, so does a new life as a working adult begin (in a few months time). I can't promise that I'll update my blog as frequent as it should be, but I will try :)

So say hello to Wene-ism!!!!

p.s: I've explained how wene-ism began at the sidebar, so go baca-lah, I malas nak type again :P

i heart carrots~

Me love carrots~
As you've seen my previous post, carrots hijacked my laptop and did some blogging of his own. *bad carrots! LOL* Anyways, this few days, peas hasn't been studying seriously and is out more often than not. For instance, peas went out with carrots for lunch yesterday, and tried seafood bah kut teh~ seafood bah kut teh???? Got Meh???

That was exactly what I wondered too. Thus carrots and peas decided to pay that shop a visit to savour THE seafood bak kut teh.

Ingredients: 4-6 large prawns, small chunks of squids and lots of fishballs plus cili padi.
Verdict: The taste of the soup is the standard bah kut teh, with extra umpph due to the cilipadi, and the seafood which makes the soup taste..erm...seafood-ish? LOL~
Price: RM 21.50!!! (which is rather expensive! they didn't even put slices of fish in it *sobs*)
Conclusion: Peas and carrots shall never go there again. We paid a total bill of RM 38! Just for bah kut teh!!! (my most expensive meal of bah kut teh till date ;p)

RM 38.00 = RM 21.50 + RM 8.5o (for a single portion of "wet" bah kut teh) + RM 8 (for 3 large rice + 1 small rice + 2 chinese tea + 1 plate of "yau char kuey")

Later that evening, peas and carrots headed down to KL again, to watch the French Movie called Tell No One. We had sumptuous dinner at PastaMania in Pavillion, and guess what? Our meal of one pasta, and one small pizza, with garlic bread and a coke only costed us RM 33.50, which is cheaper than the Bah Kut Teh we had earlier!!! LOL~~
However, the pasta wasn't that filling, and so after a walking around Pavillion for awhile, we ended up in J.Co. LOL.yummy donuts and a cappuccino at J.Co.

Now, although our parents ALWAYS tell us not to PLAY with our food......
me and my big big mouth~

carrots, The King of Donuts!

Peas stuck in a "donut" ring~

Carrots getting eaten PacMan-style~~~ (pay back for putting me inside the donut ;p)

Peas and the cute "mushroom" >.<

After finishing ALL the 6 donuts, we headed off to watch our movie. Wanted to take a pic showing that our tickets were RM 0.00, but yea, 2m.p camera phone isn't that good ;p

GSC Pavillion has a really cool desing, and their seats are ALL so new ;p And there were loads of foreigners watching movie there as well. In fact, the cinema that peas and carrots went into, had only 88 seats. The cinema hall was about 80-90% filled up, and among those, were only 15 -20 Malaysians! The rest were foreigners!!! My first time being in cinema with a majority of non-malaysians!!! While carrots and I were waiting for the movie to start, we kept track of who came in, and we went

"another, and another "ang mo"..wahh..so many~" LOL~~~

The experience was brought to a greater level of "excitement" because at the of the movie, were scenes of a couple going for a swim in a lake. Well, it's a french movie, and the couple are married, the lady took of her dress and let it slide off, before we see her body, the person who was rolling the projector, used covered the lens, and all we saw was a black black screen.

The foreigners who were watching the movie, laughed so loudly. I guess they find the "censorship board" of Malaysia extremely funny. After awhile, the guy removed his hands, and we saw that the man in the movie was TOO taking off his clothes.

BLACK screen AGAIN.
(more laughter)

Scene of guy swimming naked in lake.
BLACK screen AGAIN.
(laughter subsides, as most of us were getting bored of the process.)

Thankfully the rest of movie didn't have any naked scenes, or else I would have been watching a a BLACK screen movie. LOL. Anyways, I think the guy who took care of the projector got bored towards the end, because at the very end, the movie showed the very first "lake scene" AGAIN with the naked guy running for awhile, with his you-know-what visible for a few mili-seconds. No naked girls though ;p

The whole experience, was truly unique. And after the movie, I'm sure a few of the foreigners will go back to where they came from, and tell their friends about the "wonderful" censorship board where we have people manually covering the lens of the projector. LOL~

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a side track, why is peas going out though her eos is near??
peas found out and confirmed with a number of people, that the marks for the coming end of semester exams (eos) are NOT included in the final honours' grading. Hahaha XD

Carrots can be eaten in a variety of ways. They are often chopped and boiled, fried or steamed, and cooked in soups and stews, as well as baby and pet foods.

The carrot gets its characteristic and bright orange colour from β-carotene, which is metabolised into vitamin A in humans when bile salts are present in the intestines. Carrots are also rich in dietary fibre, antioxidants, and minerals. Lack of Vitamin A can cause poor vision, including night vision, and vision can be restored by adding Vitamin A back into the diet.

^^ rofl.

Love,
Peas.

p/s: The creators of Blackle have been criticised for lack of clarity regarding the type, size and manufacturer of monitor that the power usage claims refer to. One critic, a technology journalist who reviews computer hardware, tested 4 cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors and 23 liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors, and found that power was saved by the CRT monitors, but was less than that claimed by the blog post that inspired Blackle. The LCD monitors tested showed increased power use in the majority of cases, although most of the larger (24 inch) monitors did use less power displaying a black screen.[1][4][5]Publish Post

Virus Alert!

Sheesh..it has only been a few days and my laptop is already infected. Guess I shouldn't have used my laptop to download stuff.
The next time i'll leave the downloading to my bros with our trustworthy desktop.

Although I have and antivirus running, I still got infected!!

Why?? Why oh why?

AND to make matters worse,
I wasnt able to delete the virus!
It has been running around my system since yesterday night, right after I had downloaded Rain's songs from some website -_-''

So my dad said the only thing to do is to reformat the whole system. Easily said,
BUT I don't even know how to reboot the system!!!
Let's pray my laptop will be fine.

Anyways, I broke up with the new guy 2 days ago.
It was the 2nd time I tried to break up with him and thankfully, this time it was successful.

Although I do like him, but due to my parents disagreement and 'emotional blackmail'
(they asked me to choose between them or the new guy, or something like that)
So, the obvious step I could take was to break up with the new guy.
But I must admit that I miss his calls, especially the long late night calls. Yet, it is wiser to break off before the feelings got any stronger.

After all, like my friend told me, parents will always be the one who loves you the most, so we should do our best not to cause them hurt and disappointment.

And now after I've broke up with him, I really got the time to think about what has been going on in my relationships.

Its hard to admit this, but I guess I'm really immature and selfish when it comes to relationships, I just wanna have fun and enjoy the moment(which is eerily similar to the love profile in the previous post)

Now, I think that what I have felt and done in the past few weeks after new year was a total mess.
My feelings towards the new guy was infatuation, not love.

Due to the infatuation that I felt, I hardened myself against feeling any emotions to my ex-boyfriend who is overseas, and caused him so much misery.
I am indeed the worst person in the world.

I still remember when I had my first boyfriend, I was so excited and told my friend about it. She congratulated and gave me an advice which goes,

LoVe iS NoT a GaMe

Back then, I thought I was fully aware of the meaning behind it. But now I realised that all this while I had played love like a game.
All this while my thoughts regarding relationships were,

If the relationship doesnt last, its ok.
But if it can continue, I would definately want it to make it last.

I guess that's a wrong thought to have in relationships. If a relationship isnt started to last, there's no point in starting it in the very first place, right?

When was the last time u rode a bicycle?

This whole day has been yet another unproductive day.
I spent more than half a day wondering in MidValley with my dad doing nothing in particular; we were mainly walking around without an purpose. But I guess that's what window-shopping is all about; walking around doing nothing. -_-''

Anyways, I met my supervisor, Angie ,who got me my previous job as a promoter in Subang Parade (i.e the promoter for the 'I want a car' Contest) while I was there.
Guess what??

Of all things, she said my dad looks young! Kinda like my older brother. Then she added, some ppl might also think that he's my sugar-daddy!

Wha?? @.@

DO i seriously look like that kinda girl?

Wait a minute, now that the term 'sugar-daddy' came into picture, I can't help but to get
reminded of some experiences that are related to this term.

Back when I was working in Osim, there's always this 'uncle' who would always come into the outlet for a 'free' massage. Being a regular 'customer' he would always talk to me, and ask a lot of questions. Simple conversation with an old guy is not a problem with me (as long as u dont bore me with grandma stories)

BUT this man keeps asking whether I need a lift back home after work. SAying things like,

'Wow, u work the whole day here? Then u dont go back and bathe?'

Now that I think of it, he seems like someone who fits the 'sugar-daddy' profile 100%!

1. He likes talking to 'sweet young things'
(like me, of course! =P)

2. He likes buying things for girls
( he bought me a drink once)

3. He phones girls jz to chat.
( ya..he calls me once in awhile eventhough I've already stopped working in Osim. And I cant even remember why I gave my number to him the 1st place)

4. He must definately be a dirty old man.

Now that I'm talking about D.O.M or Dirty Old Men, let me jz share a story about ANOTHER old man I met when I was working in Subang last december.
I can still remember that this happened before christmas ( in fact the incident occured during my first week of work in Subang)

To begin with, let me explain the duty of my job. I'm kinda like a person-in-charge of the contest in Subang Carrefour. SO all I do is create awareness that there's such a contest going on, and help participants to fill up their contest forms

So imagine this,
I approached the D.O.M without knowing it, telling him about the conditions to take part in the contest. Since a conversation had already began, the D.O.M used it to his advantage and asked questions like

'Ur working part-time ah?'
'Do you have any off-days?'
'No? So you're spending ur Christmas working?'
'So pityful. Dont worry, I'll come visit you and bring u out..'

I was like err...@.@
'how do I get rid of this annoying man..'

Thankfully, someone wanted to take part and wanted a form. So I quickly closed all conversations with the D.O.M without saying bye bye (kinda like how u close down the msn conversation tab when u meet an annoying person)

Lucky for me, the D.O.M left the scene and never came back to visit me on Christmas.
Hahaha...

Back to the title of my post,

When was the last time u rode a bicycle?"
For me, the last time I rode mine must have been more than 6 months ago. In fact it could have been more than a year!
The reason why I mention this is because I was spending this 2 days finishing the anime called Honey And Clover

Its a really nice and simple anime about love n life.
And as I completed the whole anime, I came to a realisation that life is very plain. The only things that really happens in our daily life are limited to :-

1.studies/work
2. family
3. friends
4. love

And yet, there are times when we'll feel empty even though we have all 4 aspects above.

Why?

I think its purely because there's a 5th aspect to life which differs according to individuals. It something that I believe everyone has to find out for themselves.
Some find it through religion and god, others...
others like me jz waste time living life as it is.

And in the anime, this search for the answer is equated as a ride on a bicycle,
to see how far we can go without turning our backs.

Also, there is this episode about letting go.

In this case, its about letting go of an unrequited love.

A broken heart is kinda like a flowering plant which stem is half-broken. Initially the leaves and flowers on the upper part are still green and nice.
BUT, if u do not break off the upper part, the whole plant would wither because of its own weight. If the plant had been broken of at the point of injury, it would have continued to grow and bloom.
In love it is the same, if we have been hurt, had our hearts broken, there's no point in holding on for too long. If you do, you might end up like the plant. At least that's what I believe in.

But, love isnt that simple is it?
Oh well, life isnt simple. Its rather complicated.

the longest break

More than 1 month of not blogging! That has gotta be my longest duration of not blogging, EVER!

Over the past month and a half, I went through lots of things!
I met many many different people and forged new friendships.
The happenings in my life during this period has lead from one change to another, and I think that I'm constantly changing; personality-wise, mentally and a bit of physical changes (no..its not a boob job, but I think I lost some weight while I was working the last month^^ )

1. I broke up with my bf
.

This is the major change in my life. More than 3 months ago I was in love with someone. I shared and cared for him. I would say that I have had given my best to make him happy when he was still in Msia. I was a really good gf. (I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating about how good I am to my ex, but my close friends back in college would know the truth behind this statement. I think only they saw how good I was to him and all of them had intially thought I was being too nice, but now that I hv broken up with him, I think they were reather shocked.
None of them saw this coming, neither did my ex.
I know I'm an evil being who jz left a good man devasted in a cold land hundreds of miles away from Msia. But there's nothing that I can do to change the fact. I've already made up my mind and I shall remain adamant on being ONLY friends with my ex.
This change has brought upon concerns and advices from not only my family, but also my friends.

Back when I had initially broken up with him I was a complete mess, not bcoz I couldn't let go of him or anything like that, its jz that somehow I kinda got lectures from my parents all the time.
The reason I got lectured was bcoz I was being chased by another guy whom they deem is unfit and un-matched for me..i.e someone who is jz UN-everything to me.
But being borned under a sagittarian star makes me stubborn, and so i insisted in seeing the guy. This lead to a big hoo-ha in my family and all. Every night after work they would lecture me, talk me out into being too 'close' with him.
It was a whole mess. I'm telling you, back then my mind was never at ease. I was always under stress, thinking of solutions.. and to add on to the whole stress, my ex couldnt let me go.. I was mentally drained back then..

Thankfully now that I've finished working I have more time to myself; time alone to think about what has happened to me, time to analyse and think through the who I have becomed and also time for me to blog out my feellings.

Anyways, I got a new laptop which hopefully will serve me well^^
So this indirectly means more time for me to surf the net!!
