Results?

After I finished watching the drama,
"Kimi wa Petto"

A friend asked me through msn whether I'm going to IMU to get my results.

Well, the obvious answer is NO.

Cause no matter how near Bukit Jalil may be to Klang.

The toll, the petrol, and the amount of driving to do,
is just not worth it for my results.
(at least that's my personal point of view.)

Plus, I was thinking to myself that I would be able to check my results online.

Lo and behold,

I TRIED logging into the network for the e-mail accounts of IMU students,

and..

I FAILED to log in!

Stressed, I tried again.

And AGAIN!

But the same thing happens,
the same screen pops up asking me for my log in ID, and my password,
which I have conveniently FORGOTTEN. -.-''

Pissed off. I called IMU.

I thought they would be easy on me, and give me my results through the phone.
BUT....this had to happen.

'Excuse me miss, I would like to know my results'

'Which course are you in?'

'Pharmacy'

'Hold on' *ring ring goes the phone as I was transferred to another department*

'Hello, may I help you?'

'I would like to know my results, I'm from P107'

'You can check your EOS results online'

'Yea, I know but I've forgotten my password'

'Oh, then you'll have to get your password from the Help Desk.
Hold on, I'll transfer you over. If the call disconnects, call back at #####'

'Sorry? ####?'

'Oh, its the extension number,
*repeats the darn number, but due to the lack of active brain cells, I failed to remember the number, AGAIN*

*ring ring, AGAIN..*

'Hi, I've lost my log in password and would like to have it to check my results'
*at this point I was rather upset already*

'Well, you'll have to come to help desk to reset it'

'Personally?'

'Yeah, where are you now?'

'Klang'

'Oh, okay, what's your student ID?'

'Okay, try logging into the network in 15 minutes. Your new password is ######'

SO, I FINALLY logged into the network and got ANOTHER password to check my results at IMUs' webpage.

I don't understand, why do they even bother to do that?
Needing us students to put not one, but TWO passwords to get our results which merely states whether we

PASS or FAIL.

It's not like the marks are posted or anything that sort. -.-''

They should just send us the results to our normal email providers like yahoo or hotmail lah~

Like a few weeks before our exams, during the study break,
IMU sent email to every single student, at their respective yahoo or hotmail account,
reminding us that we have to pay our second semester fees!

Ironic isn't it?
I guess when it comes to money, they don't mind sending emails, huh?


AND, it pisses me off even more,
when this popped up.

I guess the fonts are a bit too small, so, it said,

Sorry, your results are not available yet. Please check back later. Thank you.


What the #$%@!

Bloody IMU, why aren't our results posted online yet?
There I was thinking IMU is so advanced and yet..
they couldn't even post our results online.

AND, the results were SUPPOSED to be released on 3days ago on Tuesday,
BUT was postponed to today.

SO, in the end, I decided that IF they(IMU student affair) didn't even bother to make sure that our results were released online,

why should I care? *yea..who the hell am I kidding?*

I'm basically half paranoid, especially after I found out those who DROVE all the way to IMU had already got their results.

Sheesh...I'm contradicting myself. -.-''

Anyways, I've completed all 10episodes of the drama! Banzai~

The story, revolves around, a 29 year-old woman named Iwaya Sumire,
and how she amazingly made Goda Takeshi, a man in his early 20s, her pet a.k.a Momo.

The picture on the left is the original picture, as the whole drama is actually based on a manga called 'tramps like us'

I think by now, you all should know that Momo is played by Matsumoto Jun^^
He's just amazingly good-looking. *I'm so dreaming of having my own Momo*

All in all, I found the drama really appealing.

Maybe it's mainly due to the fact that they have a bishounen( pretty boy) as part of their cast. *matsumoto jun wa daisuki^^*

Or maybe it's because the drama reflects on problems, (love problems to be more specific)
faced by the modern woman nowadays.

It states the different opinions between a man and a woman.
How one's pride can swallow up their personal life...
How one should find their 'perfect' soulmate.

The one message that struck me the most in the drama is,

It's not easy to find someone whom you can show your true colors too.
Someone who will accept you unconditionally,
no matter how 'ugly' you may be inside.
Someone whom you can spend your time with comfortably.

Oh ya, then there's another topic that made me think.

In one of the episodes, one of the characters in the drama said this,

"Guys prefer a woman who is weaker than him.
They want to feel superior than the other.
So, no matter what, it's best to pretend to be cute and innocent,
rather than let your ego of being more intelligent get in the way."

Now, that SERIOUSLY explains real life stories of why working women find it hard to get partners. SO, every working modern women should watch the movie, and pray that they'll meet their own Momo soon.

Gyaah!

After completing the WHOLE 20 episodes of Hana Yori Dango,

I can SAFELY say, that the JAPANESE version is MUCH BETTER than the taiwanese version(Meteor Garden)

The story moves at a comfortable pace, no draggy scenes-what-so-ever.

AND, I'll have to admit, Matsumoto Jun is HOT.

Whee...he's so darn cute! cho Kawaii~

I feel like a silly secondary school girl for having a crush on a celebrity.
And, after reading up, I realized that he's actually a member of a Japanese Pop group called Arashi.

I've heard Arashi's songs before, but I've never really liked any of their songs. -.-''

I've been doing practically nothing at home for the past few days.

Glued my ass to the chair, and sat in front of the laptop; again -.-''

Completed downloading and watching the Japanese drama of Hana Yori Dango.

I've watched the Taiwanese version, which was aired on Malaysian tv years ago (back when I was in secondary school.)
Back then everyone (including Malay girls) went nuts over F4(which is current changed it's group name to some weird name which I can't remember).

Anyways, the whole series is actually based on the manga of the same title.

Manga > anime > taiwanese drama > japanese drama

From what I've watched,
I think I prefer the Taiwanese version, as it has more scenes from the manga.
The Japanese version is MUCH more compressed.
The whole manga is choked into merely 20episodes!

On the other hand, the 1st season of the Taiwanese version itself is MORE than 20 episodes.
So, sometimes it's a little draggy. -.-''

The one thing that I do not understand is why people wanna remake the drama series over and over again in different languages?

Isn't it sufficient to have only one series of the same story?

Or maybe the directors of drama series couldn't lay their hand on good scripts,
so they ALL decide to use storyline from mangas.

SO what's next?
An american production of the manga?
Yea..maybe, considering Ugly Betty is based on the Latin drama.

(anyways, the japanese drama has a much MUCH better looking Doumyouji Tsukasa! )

Wait, I should be complaining about other providers like Time or Jaring who charge much more ridiculous prices compared to Streamyx, and give slower speed.

Oi...so many people use internet now, so money is virtually flowing into their pocket every single month.

while me, with streamyx 512kb/s package, can only download up to a max of 100KB/s nia..

compare la... streamyx's latest package can only provide 4mb/s..
25% of what people get overseas..

BUT then, sometimes i'll think,

Today is purely unproductive.

I sat in front of the computer watching a few episodes of an anime called Mushishi.

Then, played some silly game on Wii.

Watched more anime.

Exercised.

Then went out to meet up with my primary school mates.
I should have known they didn't bring any camera.
It's been so so long since I met up with them, yet I didn't seize the chance to capture their pics -.-''
And, it's kinda saddening to meet them.
Cause all of them enrolled in the same secondary school, while I wasn't.
SO, obviously there's a slight gap during communication.

Klang..

Although I may be born in KL itself, I have been brought up in Klang ever since I was young.
Thus, it is only natural that Klang is my hometown.

I've always loved the way Klang has been growing,
especially the areas around Bukit Tinggi. It's growing into a second taipan-like area.
Loads of food stalls; it would be nearly impossible not to get food there.
(though I'm secretly hoping that some brave soul would open a western food restaurant there. XD)
Yesterday, a neighbor called up my mum and told her about the news where a woman 'kena sembelih' in Bayu Perdana (which is MY housing estate)

The words 'kena sembelih' was horrifying.

True enough.

The fact that the robbers or rapists, got into the womans' house by climbing through the rooftop!
And, the roofs of my housing estate has always been known to be poorly constructed.
The tiles can be removed easily and thus, enabling people to sneak in.
Houses which are unoccupied here, are usually used by drug addicts due to this.


To add on to the scary happenings in Klang,

When I told my parents that I've gotten a job as a promoter for London Weight Management,
they were skeptical (as usual) and asked me to go online to do some research about the company.

If I do, I might end up an accomplice of their unethical conduct.
Hmm, well they're not exactly unethical.
Every company that strives on sales use this tactic.

They push and push for sale, either by sweet-talking, or convincing you that you need their services.

For instance, I bought a voucher for a spa from CRES for my mum under my phone number.
My mum went for the first session, and was persuaded to sign up for a package.
She went for a few more sessions and stopped going cause she couldn't find the time.
Thus, every now and then they'll call my number (thinking that it's my mum they're talking to) and pester me to go for the next session. -.-''

Okay, so maybe I should just let the consumers know what they'll go through once they go for their first session.

Ekk..then comes the next big question.
Since the company is so unethical,
will they even pay me? *shudders*

Then my mum said,
'why go through the hassle of working?

Anyways, back to the post-examination days right after I watched Alone in the cinema.

That Sat, we had the recycling campaign again. The only difference was there were less (or in fact much LESSER) manpower as many students were already back in their hometown.
Thankfully there weren't that many items to collect this time around.
And so, by noon we were done.

Next up, we( meaning me, renly, poe, and cucu) hitched a ride with Ray to Giant,Kelana Jaya.
This was mainly because we had a job interview there.
AND, one of out batch mate who is pretty close to Ray was coincidently working there as well.

The job which we went for was under YunNam and London Weight management.
They needed sales assistants to push the sales of their vouchers.

At first, I wasn't impressed. I had the impression that all these companies were gimmicks which cheated ppl's money, as the results weren't really 100% successful.

However, when the lady started talking about the pay. I think my eyes lit up that very instant. LOL^^

SADLY, till now she hasn't contacted me or my friends. *sobs*
So much for my plans of getting a job during the holidays to cover the expenses for rebonding my hair.

Since I'm not earning money this holidays, I think I'll save rebonding my hair for this year end.
As for my hair color (which is now a horrendous two tone; black vs bright brown)
I think I'll buy a cheap hair dye, and ask my friend to color it for me. Hahaha^^

Wow, it seems like i'm pretty long-winded.

Although the bus was a luxurious 3-seater bus, I didn't get much sleep as the seats were squeaking and jerking every single time the driver steps on his brakes. *sigh*

It was the only subject in which I paid so much attention among the 4 papers I took!

Imagine.
I studied and tried my very best to memorize every single one of the darn hormones stated in the module guide(which is actually our notes)!

And its more than 10 of them -.-''
I'm not much of a 'memorizing' type of person (cause I'm really lazy),
so I found it extremely tedious...

I know that the studying I do is nothing compared to the amount of memorizing medical students (and maybe students in other courses too)..

BUT...

I dislike it.

Or maybe it's just me, myself and I, filling up my mind with visions of myself failing Physiology.
(yea...esp after I scored 54marks in the darn essay..)

Thus, I went out today!

Whee.. went to watch the Thai horror movie--> ALONE

Wait, before that, my friends and I went around seeking for bikinis.
(okay...it was only I and another friend who wanted to get a bikini)

And being the stingy person I am,
my budget was below rm100.

Thankfully, the Malaysia Mega Sale is back. LOL^^

Tried two bikinis,
Loved it,
BUT didn't buy it.

cause we rushed into the cinema to catch the movie.
And I still wanted to lookout for other possibly better choices. :p

The movie's trailer was fantastic.
Filled with gore and loads of horror.
And since it was the same director as "shutter" ,
I anticipated a REALLY scary movie.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately) I didn't get frightened till I peed in my pants(wait..I was wearing a skirt..LoL^^)

Although the movie wasn't horrifying, as the horror scenes were predictable,
allowing you sufficient time to ready yourself for the scare...
one should watch it as not the get afraid of the preview..lol..

btw, the lead actor is quite cute. Doesn't look Thai at all..looks chinese..hehe^^

Now that I've sat for 2 out of 4 of my semester exam papers,
I think it's safe to say that I'll most likely PASS every single paper I sat for,

BUT..

I doubt I'll score.

Well...

Maybe it's more to POSITIVE that I wouldn't score.

Regarding the physiology class test which I blew....

The results were released yesterday.
The highest mark is 64.
While the average is 54.

Guess how well did I do?


Surprisingly, I got 54! Haha..which is average.

So, there's nothing to shout about other than the fact that I felt so relieved.

Whew...after some calculations,

I'm supposed to get 21/60 questions for the coming paper on Friday JUST to pass the darn paper -.-''

Hopefully, there'll be 30 easy questions so at least my marks remain within 50.

Hahaha...

And, I think todays' chemistry paper was absolutely crappy.... but still passable..

My semester exams are coming soon, and yet I'm not even done studying.

In fact, I've been relaxing quite a lot.

And, my house got attacked by termites....so scary..

Changes

'You've changed a lot!'

Lately, I have been hearing that quite often. (or maybe I was hallucinating about it while I painfully studied physiology-.-)

Anyways, I went to KLIA to send off beloved Ning Ning to Glasgow. (i will b missing u girl=)

And, at the airport, I saw her grandparents and aunt.

Now, during my early secondary school days when I first knew Ning, I would go over to her grandparents' place quite often especially after sports practice.

That happened in Form 1 and Form 2,
after that I seldom went over because of the change in the class hours.
The only time when I would see them is when we have to pick up Ning from her grandparents' place. So I could only get a glimpse of them.

Thus, at the airport, they were exclaiming how much I've changed.
The comments which I got were summarized into this,

'You've become so beautiful'

which in other words meant I looked ugly previously*sobs*
I still remember ning saying her aunt once commented on me saying,
'wow..it's like ugly ducking changing into a swan'

ALSO, at the airport, I meet a friend whom I haven't seen since form 5, and when I called his name, he gave me a weird look before realizing who I was.
He then apologized and said,

' I couldn't recognize you. You changed so much'

And jz recently I received a testimonial from an NS friend saying

' heyyy...msh kenal saya tak?..lolx...wah u change alot d..become prettier..not like...ahahahah jkingX2 :P'

He didn't complete the not like....
which yet again meant I look really ugly before -.-''

Well, actually it's true that I was 'ugly' before.

I had short hair since young till form 5.
The length of my hair now is the longest I EVER had in my entire life.

I wore some super-duper thick glasses back in primary and secondary school (And I still do now when I study at the comfort of my home)

I didn't know how to put make-up.
But now I do. Yet my make-up skills are still terrible that one of my guy friends kept saying my make-up makes me look old ie. too thick, not natural..-.-''
Well, I blame that on the promoter who told me to get the current foundation I have which is too fair for my skin tone.
And since I bought it (and it's not even half used) you don't expect me to throw it away and buy a new one right?

I permed and coloured my hair.
So I guess a change in hairdo DOES indeed change your overall looks.


anyway, its a good thing that I changed to 'beautiful' instead of ugly. LoL^^

I'm currently having my study break, which indirectly means I'm supposed to be studying.
But heck..I'm not even there yet..

So, what have I been doing these past few days?

For starters, I've been madly downloading a Korean drama called Delightful/ Sassy Girl Choon Hyang.

It's not a new series, but since my house mate showed me the first episode, I was hooked.

Thus, the initial few days of my study break was spent downloading and watching all 17 episodes of the drama.

In my search to download the drama, I bumped into Veoh, which kinda works like YouTube minus the fact that not that many people know about it.

In order for me to download the drama, I had to install a Veoh Player.

The best thing was, Veoh player allows me to download videos which are posted on YouTube too!

So, I have been downloading music videos from Tamaki Nami too^^ (boy..nami is such a great dancer and her songs rock!!)

Anyways, I read the Star paper today and found out that..

Klang river is STILL one of the 10 most polluted rivers in Malaysia!

LoL..

In the paper, it stated that efforts should be made to cleaning up rivers and stuff about making the environment a better place.

Well, yea..

That has been said 10 years ago when I was still in primary school, and till today Klang River is still polluted. -.-'' (same can be said about ktm, the train that we're taking now, is still the very same carriage which I had sat on 10 years ago..)

I can still vaguely remember my tuition teacher talking about pollution ( for penulisan or essay writing in BM) which then he stated that the government actually has the machine or technology to clean up the river but yet do not use it.

Back then I wondered why? and till today, I still wonder why the government doesn't use it, or maybe the technology doesn't exist in Malaysia after all these years...

Was excited to be going to Zouk, BUT..

BUT I was not allowed to enter!!!

Apparently I wasn't legally 21 so I couldn't enter Zouk!

To start off with, I saw Cleo magazine on sale and right on the cover was a small piece of card permitting entry for one person to Calvin Klein's In2U fragrance launch part @ Zouk,KL.

I was extremely excited and managed to get another to friends born on 1986 to tag along.

We were all excited( or maybe I'm the only one who's excited -_-'')

Anyway, we arrived at Zouk at 6.15pm so that we could be the first 500 people to get a goodie bag.
There were around 50 people in line by then.

As it reached 7pm(which was supposed to be the time the party starts), we were all still OUTSIDE of Zouk.

There I was, hungry and tired because of the high heels I was wearing.

Around 7.30pm, the line FINALLY moved.

When both my friend and I reached the bouncers(are they called bouncers or guards?), whom one happens to be a butch, they checked our ID and the guy politely(thankfully they were polite, if not I would have someone that very instant!) asked to move to the side as our birthdays' hasn't pass.

What the @#%$...

I was dumbfounded.


Shock, depression and the feeling of being cheated is all mixed up.

To add on, hunger and my tired soles had already sucked my dry of my energetic self.

I just stood there with my friends.

And in the end, the only friend who was legally 21 went in to get a goodie bag.

To make matters worse, the goodie bag didn't contain anything fantastic.
It only had a poster, a voucher for 20% off CK underwear, a 1.5ml sample of the perfume, and erm a Cleo lanyard. -_-''

There after, we walked to Klcc, had dinner @ KFC, and went back feeling all miserable.

Sheesh...

Arr..Pirates!

Yeah^^ I watched Pirates of the Carribean - At world's end, yesterday!!

Right after classes, my house mates and I, along with my other batch mates, headed down to Berjaya Times Square to catch the movie.

Most of them watched in Imax theater, while my house mates and I watched it @ gsc cinema.

We all bought our tickets 2 days before.
Although the seats weren't exactly the best seats available, but it definitely beats seating in the very front row in the middle, right?

As usual, we all went in with high expectations as the previous two pirates' movie were fantastic.
They had great visuals which were never seen before.
For example in the very first pirates movie,
the immortal pirates turned into skeletons under the moonlight!

Now, that was a blast.

And in the second movie, we saw Davy Jones with all the oh-so-real tentacles around his face.
Oh...not to forget the sword-fighting scene which saw Orlando Bloom dashing slashing his enemy inside of a spinning windmill. (or something like that, can't really remember what the big wheel was anyways)

SO, technically speaking, we were all expecting more and MORE.

However, our (or more specifically MY) hopes were dashed!

*warning- spoilers ahead*

The third installment didn't introduce any new casts which were worth remembering, other than Chow Yun Fatt as Sao Feng, the head of pirates whose base lies in Singapore.

Overall the movie still retained its good graphics and nicely choreographed fighting scenes.

Yet...Yet...
there was something missing.

It lacked the jokes which were plentiful in the second movie (remember the part where Captain Jack Sparrow got caught by the aborigines? that was just hilarious)

This movie had a few amusing scenes, but they weren't as memorable as the last one.

The monkey played an important part in this installment most of the jokes (which I remember vividly) involves him. And somehow I can't help but wonder is it the same monkey as the one which acted in A night in the Museum...

Oh well, maybe I compare and complain too much.
BUT.. it's a Pirates movie!!

Shouldn't it at least have a bombastic ending?

Talking about ending, to those who haven't watched it,
A little note of reminder -

WAIT for 2-3mins after the movie ends because after a few minutes of the credits,
you shall see Elizabeth and someone (this is a real spoiler if i tell u the character) and Orlando Bloom in the end.

SO WAIT!!

I think I blew my test

Well, I have never been an extremely bright student. I'm only average. If I study I might score ok or sometimes good. BUT if I don't study, chances are I'll blow the whole paper I'm sitting for.

I'm not like some really smart people who have photogenic memory and can remember and memorize all they read in a short while. How I wish I were.

BUT, for the physiology test I sat for this morning...it didn't matter how much I could remember.
All because I didn't do a good job in time management.

It was an hour test where we're supposed to write on essay worth 30marks for our semester end exams.

I read the question, and it was something which I had already read and memorized;
all we had to do was write about,

1. the function of autonomic nervous system,
2 . the process involved between the neuroeffector junction for parasympathetic system,
and
3. the process involved between the neuroeffector junction sympathetic system.


I planned everything on the question sheet, and started writing my essay.
As I was engrossed in writing, the examiner said we only had 15mins left.
Guess what?

By then, I had only completed the 1st part of the essay. I haven't even started on part 2 and 3!!!

So I tried to speed up, but my hands ended up shaking so badly that all the words turned into some contorted ECG-like spikes -_-''

Thus, I resorted to using my pencil (but it didn't make much difference) my writing still looked terrible.

In the end, I forgot so many of the points and completed the 2nd and 3rd part of the essay within 1 page and my conclusion was sadly decreased to 1 miserable line.

Sheesh..hopefully the examiner likes my long-winded introduction and will give me credit for my efforts. (let's keep my fingers crossed)

This is the part of my life in uni that I absolutely dislike: tests and exams.

Its been so long since I blogged!
Now, before I start my long winded story about the reason I didnt blog for so long, let me jz re-cap what happened today.

Today's lectures are boring as usual.
I am usually awake at the beginning of the lecture, BUT usually around 20-30mins later..I'll be nodding off. (there are also cases where I start falling asleep as soon as 10mins of the lecture!)

Then later in the afternoon, I had a Biopharmacy lab session which made me feeling like I should have never chose to study pharmacy. -_-''

Once I got back from lab, I packed all my stuff and took the train(s) back to Klang.
I said trainS because I had to transit in THREE different stations to get back Klang.
And, on this journey back, I timed myself.
Gues what?

I took me 2hours to reach Klang -_-''
this made me feel

1. KLang is really a kampung for being so far from KL
2. KTMB's services are ALWAYS lousy.
In fact, I doubt they really EVER made any improvements to the system.

All they know is to add more and more stations BUT NEVER adding more trains.

So, as a result, the trains come less frequently and takes a longer journey to reach each station.

I'm not a genius in management or anything so don't blame me if I get the facts wrong.

BUT, I think that the problems can be solved by re-arranging ALL the trains' journey.
For example, by making transits at every 5 to 10 stations so that each train doesn't have to take a long route.

Or simply by adding more trains!


Now, I think I've said enough about KTM services to made one go insanely stressed, especially if one usually takes the KTM.

Now, once I reached Klang, I went for dinner with my parents and did some shopping.
While having dinner, my bro got a free spiderman3 t-shirt from the emcee of the Sony Ericsson roadshow in Klang. ^^

And now, I'm back at home blogging, and watching unlimited videos on youtube, reading other girls' blog. Lol^^

SLow..

My uploading speed is super SLOW!

I was uploading the videos of the ribbon dance during Intercultural Week on YouTube,
the file was only about 70-80Mb,
BUT is took me almost an hour to upload! (maybe more than one hour too!!! *sigh*)

My uploading speed was only an average of 20Kb...Kb!!!!
Imagine my distress..-_-''

So I could only upload one darn video yesterday night.
I didnt even have the chance to upload the Chinese wedding video which I edited yesterday.

So earlier on, I wanted to upload the video.
To my horror, I realised that the maximum size for the video is 100Mb,
while the file which I saved was 132 Mb!!!!

What the #$%#^&...

SO much for my hardwork.

AND to make matters worse, I deleted my project file permanently.

So..I had to re-make a new project file using the final video I did..
and windows movie maker sliced the whole video up...-_-''

Maybe it's because I don't know what else to do...I told you I'm a Windows Movie Maker idiot didnt i? *double sigh*

So now, after redo-ing the whole thing,
I uploaded the video.

This time, the speed was MUCH slower..---> an average of 10kb/s

I'm practically rotting...

Idiots guide to Windows Movie Maker..

I'm officially an idiot when it comes to Windows Movie Maker.

Why?

Because I don't even know how to save a video into wmv format!

It all began when I just logged into my msn.

My cousin Peiru called me Ah-ji; which is the character I played during the Intercultural Week in uni. Initially I was shocked, because I thought non-imu students will not watch the video...

Anyways, apparently she liked the video and wants to know the ending..

So, there I was trying to piece together the 3 videos which was taken using my friend's digicam.
All I did was:
1. Piece the 3 videos together
2. shorten some unimportant parts i.e arrangement of props on stage, etc
3. added a title at the beginning

Doing those simple 3 task took me hours!!!
Yes..I'm a noob *sigh* but at least I tried...

After I did all that, I saved the file and thought I would be able to play it in winamp or vlc player.

Lo and behold...it didn't. Because the file was a movie maker project file. -_-''

I panicked and tried saving it over and over again in a different format but couldn't figure it out.

So, I resorted to asking another friend. Whom I guess was shocked at my 'stupidity' in saving files.

After his guidance, I successfully saved the video in a wmv format!!! *cheers*

BUT, unfortunately I haven't uploaded the video as my uploading speed is darn slow.

Yup, I found my password for YouTube =)

Now, apparently the police patrol car spotted them in action, and I guess they panicked.

Lol^^ i personally find it hilarious and when I checked The Star Online, this news was the most viewed.. this jz comes to show how powerful the word s-e-x is.Hehe^^

Now, that is seriously some dirty old man! According to the news, his place was SO Smelly that his neighbors complained to the city council!

It is so scary, especially after seeing the pictures of his house!

Apparently, the man's weird collecting habits began since his wife left him 3 years ago.

And so I came up with my own theory to explain the whole thing.

The man cannot live without his wife and was most probably caught up in his depressed state that he couldn't care less about his surroundings.

Yea..that's what happens when men get depressed. Well, at least its better than women. When women get depressed, they :-

1. either eat till they grow into the size of incredible hulk..most probably eating ice-creams and chocolates whole day in front of the tv.

2. get so depressed till they slash their own wrists, or find loads of pills and over-dose themselves, so that they'll disappear from the face of the planet.

Yup, more women kill themselves compared to men @ least that's what I think.

And in Friday's The Star,
was a news regarding a Cambodian elderly man who couldn't handle his urges and tried to 'do it' with a cow in the middle of the night.

The cow got frightened and kicked the old man whom later on died due to the injuries.

His grandson found the old man's naked body after hearing the sounds of a scuffle.

And apparently the old man had been divorced twice due to his 'insatiable' needs. Lol^^

Just before I came on9, I was doing some housework and when I wanted to take a short break, I found out that the movie, "A hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" was on air!! So I watched the comedy.

After that movie, I found out that a movie called the 'sleepwalkers' based on a Stephen King novel was showing in about 15mins! So I bathed and then watched the movie. Lol^^

So that was two movies back-to-back.

And after I watched the movie, I noticed that I had received an sms from my friend, asking about the Good Charlotte concert. And I replied her after more than 2 hours...

Anyways, main point was, by the time she replied, she was already at the concert while I was watching old movies. Lol^^

Intercultural week~~

Last week, I did 2 performances in IMU, and I am so proud of myself.
The first performance was a Chinese Ribbon Dance!

A total of 8 pretty girls (myself included =P) performed the dance in the atrium on Weds.
I think the dance was pretty good considering the fact that we had only came out with the song and steps 2 weeks ago.

All the 8 of us were so excited about performing that we all got identical tops just for the performance!
Thankfully, the tops were very cheap!

Back to the intercultural week, my 2nd performance was on Friday during the wedding night.
Unfortunately, I wasn't the bride. If I were, I would have scared away all the potential guys. Actually, I think I had already scared them all..esp since I had a super-large mole that day.

Unproductive..

This week could have been my worst week in campus.
First of all, the only places that I have been around for these past few days were only limited to IMU and my apartment. -_-'' it's so boring that I feel half-dead.
To make matters worse, the ONLY television we have in the apartment decided to play dead with us for almost a day. There goes another source of entertainment we have.

Then, my pet-bro's dad passed away suddenly after a stroke. And I think I couldn't do much to ease his pain.

Anyways, I realised that I'm becoming less cheerful. One way or another I seemed to have morphed into a boring old lady -_-'' Sheesh...

Blah..and this is the 1st time that I actually blogged in campus away from the prying eyes of others. This is mainly because the computer lab (or E lab as we call it in IMU) has some minor problems with its air-conditioning; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. AND, the blocked users from logging onto youtube and also their friendster account.

Lately, laziness is all that fill my mind. I've been so lazy to blog. Actually, it's most likely due to the fact that I do not have internet connection in the rented apartment.
But, it's not like I don't go to the net at all. There's plenty of computers with internet access in the campus, yet I'm too lazy to blog. All I do in the computer lab is check my mails and it's not like I've got mails..all are either forwarded mails or plain spam from unknown ppl *it's so pathetic*
Nevertheless, I dare not blog in the campus for I fear writing when people are around. I only blog within the vicinity of my home, away from the prying eyes of public. Yet, I want people to read my blog. -_-'' ironic isn't it?

Back to life in campus, on MONday, I saw my batch-mate wearing the same black skirt as I was! @.@
When it was break time, the two of us stared at each other's skirts till she initiated the conversation,

N : Are our skirts the same?
Me : I think so.
N : Where did u get ur skirt from?
Me : From the morning market.
N : Oh. How much was it?
Me : rm15
N : rm 15!
Me : *shocked* Huh? Is it very expensive? Where did u buy urs?
N : Petaling street.
Me : How much was it?
N : erm, 30 plus.
Me : Oh...

The conversation ended there as I feared if I had continued, I might make her feel bad.
Yes..it's that UNHAPPY and Oh-so-crappy feeling you get when you find out that you've been ripped off.

Moral of the story - Try not to buy things from [Petaling Street], UNLESS
1. you are well equipped with bargaining skills, OR
2. you don't mind being ripped off (which I'm sure not many are willing to do so) OR
3. refrain from asking other people about the price when you see someone with the exact same thing as yours.

Yesterday, a guy from my batch, showed my friends and I street magic!
Hehehe^^ it was so cool! It's like having David Blaine showing off his skills to us! LoL!
Though the guys' hand was shaking a lot when he performed the tricks, it was still amazing!
And all he used was a deck of poker cards!
First, he asked us to select a card from the deck without letting him know it and place the card back in the middle of the deck. He tapped the deck once, and "ta-da" the very same card was right on the top of the deck!!!

My friends and I were blown away! After that, he should us a couple of other tricks and the one trick that I find mind blowing was the one where he made the whole deck turn into the very same card which we saw initially! And with another tap, he made the whole deck turn into the initial deck!

Now, I have watch David Blaine on tv while going 'WOW" *with my mouth gaping wide*
And, I have also watch one episode where they revealed the secret behind street magic; something about optical illusion and all that.
BUT, seeing it in real life is really exciting and makes you wanna learn about it. (although I seriously doubt I'll ever master the trick, not to mention I might not even have the chance to learn about the trick. -_-'')

When I got back home yesterday, my mum stopped by this malay stall by the road selling my favourite 'keropok-lekor' and also 'goreng pisang'. As we were ordering, two fair Chinese ladies stopped too. At first, I didn't take notice, but once the lady ordered, I knew that they were definitely from China.

This is because when she ordered, she pointed to the food and said
'zhe ge' while pointing the number one to the mak cik.
Amusingly, the mak cik understood and packed the lady's food while smiling.
I found that incident amusing and I can't help but to smile as I thought,

"There are some things that doesn't really require language after all."

Of Lesbians

As I was surfing the net for Chinese 'pin-yin' lyrics (cause I'm a 'banana' i.e I can't read Chinese characters), I saw a picture of Rainie Yang ( a really cute Taiwanese artist).
And not far below from her picture was the word lesbian.

Thus, I read the article and found out that Rainie had acted as a lesbian in this mandarin movie called Spider Lilies or 'Ci Qing'(Tattoos) in mandarin!

And in the very same page, there were a few pictures of her kissing another beautiful artist!

Also, there was a video of the movie's trailer, which in were scenes of lesbians making out, and Rainie doing her 'dirty' dance in front of a webcam.

Anyways, talking about lesbians remind me of my secondary school days.

Being from an all girls school, lesbians were supposed to be plenty.
However, I have never seen any of them in school!
Though there are girls who have really short spiked up hair and they act like guys, I have never heard of them having girlfriends. So, I can't say for sure whether they are lesbians or they are just girls who enjoy dressing up as guys.

BUT, a few of my friends said they actually witnessed lesbians kissing before! o.0
Even till now, I still wonder why wasn't I with them when the incident happened. *sad*(yea..I have this wish to see lesbians kissing live...I wonder why) LoL^^

During orientation in IMU, I heard loads of (lame) jokes.
Thus, I wanna share the 'lame-ness' of these jokes online, in case I forget them in the future.

1st time @ a club

After many many years of day-dreaming of being in a club, I finally stepped into one! *happy happy*
Ever since I read a magazine called Juice( or something like that), which I got free during visits to Starbucks) when I was in secondary school, I was tempted to enter the clubbing scene as soon as possible. Every time someone mentions about going to a club, I would definitely nod my head and look at the person who suggested it with 'pleading' eyes.

Unfortunately, even after 3 years of leaving my secondary school, I never stepped into a club...that is until last night.

This all happened bcoz my 'pleading' eyes successfully persuaded my friend from IMU to bring me there!
We went as a group of 5 girls and 3 guys, by public transport *sobs*
So when we reached KL, the last train to the clubbing area had already left.
Thus, we resorted to hailing a cab in the middle of the night.
As my friends and I waved, a white car driven by some middle aged man stopped!
Boy, we were so shocked!
Thankfully, the D.O.M (dirty old man) realized that we aren't 'that' kind of people, he left.

We arrived at Maison around midnight and the place was packed!

Okay, maybe it isn't as packed as other clubs, but it's the only club I've been too and there were many people queuing outside, or maybe they were just waiting. Lol^^

Getting in wasn't a big problem cause the minimum age is only 18yrs, which is one of the reasons Maison is packed.
They checked our I.C and then stamped our hands, and it read out

Happening Club

OK, to cut things short, I didn't intend to spend any money because I thought I would have gotten a free drink as it was ladies night.

BUT, there aren't any free drinks!(Stingy club! or maybe it's because we went there after 11pm -_-'') So, I had to pay rm30 for a drink!

Then, the whole club was so smoky (cause of the large amount of people who smoke like chimneys in the club). The smell of cigarettes lingered on my hair even after 2 washes!!! (when I think about it, I wonder how much of nicotine I inhaled after only 3 hours in the club)

I saw many who were high and drunk. In fact, I saw a topless guy lying out on the street just opposite the club when I left. (pity it wasn't a topless girl. If it was....I think all the guys would have transformed into wolves in the middle of the street. Lol^^)

YET, I somehow have this unexplainable desire to visit a club, again.

However, I doubt it'll happen anytime soon because I think its too expensive. My whole night out inclusive of drinks was rm39.50.
And when I told my other friend who has been to a club, she was surprised. This is because she got a free drink from some one in the club. Am I that unapproachable? o.0

Changes?

As I updated myself to the latest happenings in my friends' life (either through mamak sessions or jz by browsing their blogs), I notice one similarity; Change is inevitable.

Yup, as lame as it sounds, we all change.

There's no hiding or denying the fact.

Changes in physical appearance, Change in love life, (slight) change in personality, and the list goes on.

Me?
Of course I've changed, but I'm totally unaware of the extent of my change.
But, from friends' remarks, I think the major change in me is my appearance.
from a not-so-straight hair ---> a not-so-successfully permed brown hair. LoL.

Ohya, before I forget this, I am so proud to announce that I've PLEDGED my organs!!

The decision was made right after I sms-ed my parents, asking this question,
"Is it ok if i pledge my organs?"

Mum replied, "I think it's ok"
Dad, " It's up to you, but ask mum first."

SO, I filled up a form, and got a card stating that I am a organ donor.
Of course I was a little shaky when I filled up the form, because it kinda felt like you're gonna die soon and so you're writing a will or something like that.

BUT, it is a good deed!
Because all my organs are in good conditions! LoL^^ (at least I think it is)

I'm (finally) a University Student!!!

Yeah! I'm officially a university student!!!

After more than 7 months of working (and also 'rotting' @ home) I'm in University at the age of 20+.
Yup, I know its a little late compared to other students (especially those who did S.A.M in Taylors' College). But heck, there are almost 30 other students my age to accompany me! Hehe^^ AND, there are a few who are older than me too!

Life in Uni = fun, fun and FUN.
Studies in Uni = boring and completely UN-understandable

Basically, being students in our 1st semester, there aren't that many classes. Although sometimes classes do drag on till 5pm, BUT there's still plenty of time for fun.
For example,
1. Steamboat sessions @ home
2. Gatherings @ home (watching DVDs)
3. Going out for mamak
4. Going out for movies

And, in all of these sessions, I've heard more than a dozen of 'lame' jokes (-_-'') which still made me laugh. (Does this indirectly mean I'm a lame person? LOL)

However, the only downside to staying there is that I do not have any internet connection in the apartment. (basically its bcoz streamyx doesn't have coverage there, and the other providers are really expensive)
